Pasca operasi mayor (operasi besar seperti operasi pada saluran cerna dan luar saluran cerna : jantung, ginjal, paru, saluran kemih, sesar dan tulang) dianjurkan untuk meningkatkan asupan protein 2x lipat yang digunakan untuk perbaikan sel-sel yg rusak dan membentuk jaringan yang baru.
Makanan sumber protein seperti lauk hewani (telur, ikan, daging sapi, hati ayam) dan nabati : tempe, tahu, kacang-kacangan, serta susu. Sumber protein dalam sehari 6-8 porsi sehari selama proses penyembuhan tergantung bersar kecilnya luka bekas jahitan.
Gatal pada jahitan/luka dipengaruhi banyak hal, bisa karena
1. kulit sensitif terhadap benang operasi yang digunakan,
2. infeksi karena luka basah/tidak ganti perban sesuai yang dianjurkan
3. karena alergi terhadap makanan tertentu, bila alergi makan telur sejak kecil maka hindari yg membuat alergi, ganti dengan sumber protein lain.
4. Ini yang wajar terjadi yaitu gatal karena luka akan kering (memasuki tahap proliferasi atau tahap sel-sel dari dalam tubuh menuju dasar luka untuk membantu menutup luka. Saat berbagai sel ini menyatu, terjadilah proses tarik-menarik pada kulit yang membuat bekas luka jahitan akan terasa gatal.

Terimakasih dok, tapi adakah makanan yg dapat memperlambat penyembuhan pasca operasi?
Tidak ada makanan tertentuyg memperlambat penyembuhan, luka susah kering berdasarkan penelitian dikarenakan asupan energi dan protein yang kurang dari kebutuhan tubuh, kadar protein/ albumin dlm darah rendah, dan alergi benang jahit.
