_Faktanya > Dalam sebuah penelitian, disebutkan kalau minyak kayu putih memiliki kandungan senyawa 1,8 sineol yang cukup tinggi, yaitu 47,61 persen.
_Semakin tinggi kadar senyawa sineol, makin tinggi pula perannya sebagai antiradang dan antioksidan, khususnya dalam mengatasi penyakit saluran pernapasan.
_Tapi, apakah manfaat minyak kayu putih tersebut didapatkan dengan cara diminum? Bukankah hanya bisa dioleskan saja di luar tubuh?
_Menanggapi apa yang beredar di media sosial, begini penjelasan dari dr. Alvin Nursalim, Sp.PD.
_Menurutnya, hingga saat ini belum ada penelitian yang membahas soal pengonsumsian minyak kayu putih untuk mengobati virus corona. Kalau untuk dioleskan ke badan, memang ada manfaatnya.
